Through a lot of thoughts and prayers, we have decided to move back home to be closer to our family. We will be moving on July 1st to Waynesville, which is near Asheville, and living with Casey's parents for a while. I will be transferring to the Credit Union in Waynesville and am so blessed to have that opportunity. We are excited to be able to be back home and close to family, but at the same time good-byes are always hard. We have had a great first year of marriage living up here in the high country and we will miss our friends, church, jobs, and life here.
On another note, I am so excited to get to celebrate our 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY this coming Saturday, May 28th!!! We are so blessed to get to go to a cottage right on a river for a long 4 day weekend! This first year of our marriage has definitely not been your typical first year of marriage, but God has taught us so many things and brought us so close to Him and to each other. Because of the things we have been through this year, we have learned lessons that could have otherwise never been learned, and we are grateful for that. God is at work and is molding and shaping us into the people He wants us to be. We just want to become more like Him and for His name to be glorified.
I just read this verse on my friend, Lindsay's blog and thought it was great! She had her baby at 23 weeks, and he is still fighting hard in the NICU. "Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
(Philippians 4:4-7)
It is amazing to me how God can use the same verse to speak to so many different people and situations. I am reminded daily that God is at work, He loves us and has a good and perfect plan, and He longs to be personally involved in our lives. I pray that whatever you are going through today, that you would feel His love!
On another note, I am absolutely LOVING this warm weather today. I am sitting at my favorite little coffee shop on Main street sipping a frozen hot chocolate, with the doors open, hearing the birds chirp, great music, and people laughing and talking. What a great little gift! I hope you enjoy the warmth of the sunshine today, and bask in God's goodness and love for you!
